New Year’s Eve celebrations: Where to virtually watch Massachusetts fireworks, performances

Without large parties, going to bars or a midnight kiss in Times Square due to the COVID pandemic, New Year’s Eve is looking very different this year.

But that doesn’t mean Massachusetts residents aren’t ready to celebrate 2020 ending, and a new year arriving.

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” show will still be live from Times Square in New York, just without the usual audience.

It starts at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, and those without cable can stream on Fubo TV or Hulu.

For those looking to continue their traditions of attending a more local event, virtual events across Massachusetts are also still happening. See below for more.

First Night Boston’s live stream will start at 6 p.m. Some of the segments will also air on NBC, NECN, Telemundo Boston, and NBC Sports Boston.

Comedian Jimmy Tingle is offering a “pay what you can” show Thursday night. Registration ends at 5:45 p.m.

D’s Key’s is offering a virtual dueling piano bar for your New Year’s Eve celebrations.
